Yes, the Suffolk Show has been going in one form or another since 1831, but can’t help thinking that it won’t be going another 100 years plus with all the livestock if we succeed to moving to a mostly plant-based diet.
Great shots Agnes. Gotta love a country show. Over here, we recently completed the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Very similar, but not the chance to get as up close and engaged as you have.
Actually, I found myself a bit too close at one point. One of those enormous working horses was just stepping up to be judged when there was an awful, extremely loud noise from the public address system of a nearby food marquee. The poor horse was so startled and the lady only just managed to keep him from crashing through the fence.
Ah, county shows. Always reassuringly the same. Which is why we love ’em.

Fascinating, I particularly enjoyed the horses on the move, excellent shots.
Oh thank you – I was pleased those pics. I think I am finally understanding the relationship between shutter speed and aperture!!

Ah! That must have taken ten years off your life for a moment, 🙂 I’ve never been that close.
Yes, you can certainly understand how folk die when horses, cows or even crowds of humans stampede.
