It was windy at the beach this Christmas

It was misty too with sea spray, but not really, really cold. Ending 2015 with unseasonal warmth.

The weather may have been grey, but there was plenty of new colour!

And, finally, end of the year brings parties and celebrations and – a very Happy New Year to all.

      1. Thinking that over, I am breaking my own rules by downplaying myself! I have just written a reminder note to update my LinkedIn profile with this new talent – you never, never know!

      2. Might be in the bloodline? British grandfather (never knew him). When I worked in the Lake District I us to think I could happily spend my final days there. Turns out he was born in Grange-over-Sands, and his parents Cartmel. Must have been feeling the echoes of his sense of place 😀 LinkedIn, here I come.

      3. Ah yes – there’s so much in the genes, and, of course, I’m guessing your outgoing, comfortable TV persona is due more to your Italian roots than the English bloodline??? 😃

  1. After such strange weather this year it’s hard not to be a little concerned about what 2016 might bring. Wishing us all the best though…lovely photos of your(?) young people😊

    1. And a Happy New Year to you too.
Yes, the weather – my goodness, you’d think humans would be less surprised by it. I guess in our technologically saturated world we think we can outwit nature. Oh dear, how wrong we consistently are.
Young people – my daughter and her boyfriend visiting over holidays from London. It’s a great beach especially in the winter with seals popping their heads out of the surf every few minutes. Too quickly for me to get a shot though.

    1. Thank you and all the best to you. Over here in East Anglia I’ve never, ever, known the ground so soggy. Mud everywhere reminds me of when I lived in the West Country only the colour is different to the reddy clay of the Devon.
