Happy New Year
Thank you. There were thousands and thousands of people there. We arrived at about 11 pm, but to get a really good view you had to be down by the river before 8 pm – too much standing around for me! And, it rained.
I just don’t know how my camera kept working. We didn’t have umbrellas and we got soaked and then had to walk 45 mins before we could get down onto the Tube! It was Diamond Jubilee Thames Flotilla Day all over again.
Your pictures are beautiful. When I look at them I feel like I’m there.

Great photos – especially like the first one of lights on Regent Street but the ones of the fireworks are pretty spectacular.
Well, I think Regent Street nearly always looks better than Oxford Street, but then Regent Street has got the width and the curve.
Great pictures – and no sign of the pouring rain!
